Case Study 2

The CSA group of companies (turnover £15m) based in West Wales, is a labour, security and business support provider. The group had experienced difficulties in an in-house accountant.

Enterprise Outsourcingwere happy to take over the bookkeeping for this client, providing staff with the necessary expertise to undertake the accounting tasks and provide management with meaningful management accounts. This has relieved the client of the problems associated with recruitment and staff management, enabling them to concentrate on the day to day running of the business.

  • Bookkeeping - we attend the client's premises 2 days per week when all supplier invoices are posted, bacnk and cash transactions are posted, journals are raised and posted. Aged creditor lists are produced and remittance advice slips generated for approved payments. The bank accounts and all control accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis.
  • VAT Returns - produced on a monthly or quarterly basis and submitted to H M Customs and Excise along with any payment due.
  • Management Accounts - produced on a monthly basis for all companies in the group incorporating profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and key indicators such as gross profit ratio, sales and purchase credit periods and net asset value per share.
  • Management meetings - held monthly at client's premises to discuss monthly figures and offer any relevant business and taxation advice.
  • Statutory accounts preparation and audit - as a result of the involvement with the bookkeeping we are able to perform an efficient audit soon after the year end.
